War of the Worlds: Preshow

Hey, we’re back for more! Did you miss us? We’re back from our hiatus and ready to talk about Season 33, War of the World, the cast, and predictions on format, speculating who wins and what potential alliances will form between the vets and the newbies. We’re glad to be back and ready to talk Challenge with everyone again.

Wrestling Playset Type B

Last year for my birthday I received Wrestling Playset (Style B), you may have seen these in your locale dollar store. Mine has been sitting in my closet since I got it but tonight I pulled it out and opened it.

You get two figures, four accessories like a guardrail, ladder, trash can, and construction cone. Even the ring has a center logo that says Extreme Championship Wrestlers. The turnbuckles are kinda small and ring posts have that cheap plastic, it may break if you put too much tension on it.

I can see this as a good alternative and at a dollar store price, I’m guessing $5 or $10 isn’t bad. I may have to visit my dollar stores more often for these kind of wrestling playsets.

The Midnight Drive-In: Chained Heat & Red Heat

The sleaze returns to the drive-in! We talk about two women in prison films that star Linda Blair and have HEAT in the title. How is that for a convoluted theme? First up we chat about the weird hot tub in the warden’s office in Chained Heat. Then we talk 1980’s communist politics in Red Heat. After that we chat about the new Spider-Man trailer, Doug goes on a serial killer spree, and Noah reveals the Chained Heat multiverse.

Spider-man: Far From Home Trailer

When I went and saw Avengers Infinity War in the theater I remember hearing someone crying when Spider-Man gets turned to dust. While the scene between him and Tony Stark is touching, knowing that there was a new Spider-Man movie coming out kind of nullified any sadness for me.

Now we get to see what Peter Parker is going to be up to once Avengers Endgame rolls its credits. Looks like an overseas class trip is in order. We finally get to see Nick Fury recruit Spider-Man and most importantly we get Mysterio. While it’s not the Bruce Campbell Mysterio we all kind of wanted during the original Spider-Man trilogy this version still looks pretty cool to me. Check out the trailer below.

The Midnight Drive-In: The Deadly Bees & The Swarm

We are down a host as Doug got another moose tangled up in his internet so we start things off for some reason talking about Patrick Swayze and then transition to talking about people from the Poltergeist films. After that we talk about two Bee movies with The Deadly Bees and then Michael Caine helps us take on The Swarm. We also talk about Mindhunter, Into The Spider-Verse, and complain about all our health issues.

The Midnight Drive-In: Elvis & Bubba Ho-Tep

This week we’re celebrating the birthday of The King Of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. First up we look at the completely fictional TV Movie ELVIS directed by John Carpenter and starring Kurt Russell as the man in the jump suit himself. After that we finally get into the true adventures of The King by talking about Don Coscarelli film Bubba Ho-Tep starring Bruce Campbell. After that we talk about Bandersnatch, Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse, and how depressing The Road is.

GRAVEYARD DUCK EPISODE 44 – Toejam & Earl

This week Scott spends his time running from nerds while Wes dances with a hula girl. Actually, we’re talking about Toejam & Earl for the Sega Genesis.

Curt Hawkins Elite Series 64 Review

I received my first WWE True FX figure in Curt Hawkins (Elite 64). I’m glad Mattel is going with the Hasbro model with their figures, with interchangeable hands, heads and sometimes build-a-figure.

Hawkins face scan is perfect and swapping hands is easy like a Marvel Legends fig. He comes with a removable vest, cane, and breakaway RAW wall. I didn’t get the variant but the orange and blue.

Now that I got Hawkins I can now place him next to Ryder to fantasy book a episode of The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast.

The Midnight Drive-In: Starcrash & Flash Gordon

This week we take to the stars as we talk about one movie that rips off Star Wars and another that was based on the property that inspired Star Wars. First up is the movie that made David Hasselhoff famous. Ok not really but he is in it. It’s Starcrash. After that we go off to fight Ming in Flash Gordon. Also we chat about Blood Simple, The Predator, and how our Christmas was.
