CW Announces This Year’s Arrowverse Crossover

One of the highlights of the Arrowverse on CW is the annual crossover.  Ever since Flash started they have made sure to do a crossover with Arrow.  When Supergirl finally made her way from CBS to CW (where the show should have been since the beginning) it made it easier to have her be part of the crossover as well even with it taking place on a different version of Earth.  This year while they are trimming down the crossover by leaving out The Legends Of Tomorrow and Black Lightening (which also takes place on it’s own separate Earth) they are using it to introduce some new characters and bring back a big guest star.

Elseworlds!  Comic fans know that label applies to stories told in sort of a What If style in the Multiverse of DC.  How this is going to apply to the story is yet to be seen.  What we do know according to The Wrap is that it will be setting up the foundation for and introducing Batwoman, played by Ruby Rose, who will be getting her own show.

Along with that we will see the return of Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman and he’ll be bringing along everyone’s favorite reporter Lois Lane played by Elizabeth Tulloch of Grimm fame.

Some interesting casting comes as LaMonica Garrett has been cast as Mar Novu, The Monitor.  We all know The Monitor plays a big part in Crisis On Infinite Earths.  I’m curious if this is setting up a story for next season that will finally see all the various Earths collapsed into one reality.  It should be interesting.

Amazon Drops Familiar Poster For The Boys

If you’re a fan of the Garth Ennis comic The Boys then you’ll be happy with the first promo poster they have released for the upcoming live actions series on Amazon.

As you can see they have recreated the first cover of the comic.  In a world where superheros are celebrities The Boys are put together to make sure that those with powers keep themselves in check.  It stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Jennifer Esposito, and Elizabeth Shue.  It’s being brought to TV by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogan who also brought to life Ennis’ Preacher series on AMC.  Look for it in early 2019.

Freddy Kruger To Appear On The Goldbergs

I personally haven’t watched The Goldbergs but thought the scenario of looking at 80’s pop culture through a modern lens would be a lot of fun.  In the past the show has had guest stars like Rick Springfield and Rick Moranis on to add to their own love of the 80s.

In some episodes they deal with pop culture milestones like the release of Return Of The Jedi and even tonight are paying homage to John Hughes Films.

Well this Halloween one horror icon is getting his due.  Freddy Kruger will be on their Halloween episode.  And not only will the character make an appearance but Robert Englund himself will be donning the striped sweater and iconic bladed glove once again.  This marks the first time he has portrayed the character in movies or television since 2003’s Freddy vs. Jason.  Check out the promo below.

Final Reckoning: You’re the Worst

Drama drama everywhere. This episode draws some lines in the sand between Challengers we like and Challengers we can barely tolerate. The eating challenge ends in a predictable way, and a pair end up in Redemption to make amends. That goes about as well as you’d expect it to go in a reality show fueled by booze and anger. Back in the main house, we see other fights, more drama and more people who we’ve decided to hate. No nominations, no voting and of course no eliminations this episode. C’mon MTV.

Final Reckoning: Redemption House of Cards

*ch ch* REDEMPTION HOUSE. This week is all about the Redemption House and the Apocalypse that actually sends people home for once! CT tries his best to stay in the game, but maybe not as hard as Derrick tries. At this stage in the game, I guess you have to give it your best shot to stay in. They’re battling for a million bucks after all. *ch ch* MAIN HOUSE. No real elimination from the main house so it’s a bit laid back, but we end the episode with an eating challenge which is our favorite. Lots of puking and lots of fun! We go way off topic this week, which once guy on iTunes hates. So it goes.

The Boise Brothers starring Abram and Mike: A break from Challenged

We interrupt this regular podcast feed for an episode of Couch Pilots! Wolfie and Tim join the flight as the regular pilots review Boise Brothers, a failed pilot put together by Challenge contestants Abram and Mike to hopefully sell MTV on a reality show. The pilot failed, obviously, but that doesn’t stop us from talking about it. For more details or to subscribe to Couch Pilots, head on over to their website, http://couchpilotspodcast.libsyn.com/.

Final Reckoning: Bro-ing Pains

It’s guy’s night, so grab your whiskey and cowboy hat and leave the women at home. We’re super efficient as we recap this episode but still cover a lot of ground. A nomination, a desperate Banana, a crazy elimination and a dramatic re-enactment of Paulie’s tweets that will hopefully make you hate him more than you already do. Also, how about a little back story on that Semester at Sea sweatshirt this episode? C’mon MTV, you can do better.

Final Reckoning: Shaneless

Eight episodes in and I have a very important question: Will anyone ever be sent home? The mercenaries play for a spot in the house, but let’s be honest… they’re getting into the game either way because if they lose, it’s Redemption House time. We see Kyle slutting it up, drama at a winery, drama in a bus, drama at home, and a salad bowl with lasers shooting out of it. Shane has a strategy in the rugby game, but will it work and is it worth it?

Final Reckoning: Big Little Lies

Killer Queen Kam is the lady with the plan in this episode, but c’mon MTV, are you ever gonna send anyone home? We see the Challengers dig out of a mine, a relationship between Tori and Derrick comes to a head, and Brad finally blinks. All this and more on this wonderful edition of Challenged.

Final Reckoning: A Series of Unfortunate Events

We’re not thrilled about the pace of this season, but we’ll keep bringing you the latest ’cause we love you. Too much drama up in here, too many relationships to follow, and too many people throwing hissy fits. But it’s ok. We see a challenge on a train, we see Brad throw fits, Cara throw fits, Kyle throw fits, Shane throw fits… Are we seeing a pattern. Also, some roosters invade the hen house. All this and more on this amazing episode of Challenged.

Final Reckoning: Breaking Brad

Poor Brad deals with the bad news from the Redemption House, while the rest of the Challengers prepare for a Purge Challenge. We get relationship drama we don’t care about, team drama we’re too old for, and reminisce of the days when we used to get a challenge and an elimination in one week.

The Midnight Drive-In: Transformers The Movie & G.I. Joe The Movie

This week we’re doing a kids night and showing some cartoon movies from our childhoods in the form of 1986’s Transformers The Movie and then following that up with 1987’s G.I. Joe The Movie.  Just remember that “You got the touch, you got the power!”  Yo Joe.

Final Reckoning: The Affair

It’s a shorter episode tonight due to an oncoming illness, but at least we have NyQuil is if beer isn’t on the menu. Of course we cover Paulie and the silly fight, Brad’s reaction to potential infidelity, and the process to get back into the house after you’re in Redemption. Four episodes in and we’re still learning how the game works and very few have been sent home. Brace yourselves for a long season everyone. We’re just getting warmed up.

Fear Factor: Challenge Edition

Today is a very special day for Challenged. Many lessons learned. We are joined by Fear Factor experts from Couch Pilots to discuss the latest episode of Fear Factor starring CT, Cara, Jordan, and Tori. We discuss the episode as well as get behind-the-scenes details from previous contestants on the show.

Final Reckoning: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

We’re here with another recap.  Lots of house drama as Cara and Kyle suck Faith and Paulie into their relationship drama, Cara then pisses off her partner, and find out how nominations and eliminations are going to work this season.  All this and more.

EVICTED – BIG BROTHER SEASON 20: WEEK 4

Wooo!  Things go crazy this week in the Big Brother House.  We get some temper tantrums, some bold faced lies, some false call outs, and some discussion about racism.  A lot to digest so this is a loooooong episode.

Do us a favor and head over to iTunes and leave us a review: Review EVICTED!

Final Reckoning: The Young And The Wreckless

We get a look at some of the drama in the Redemption House.  Then we finally discover who is going to be Johnny’s partner.  The contestants engage in a swingtastic Challenge after which we learn who is safe and who is not in eliminations this season.

Evicted – Big Brother Season 20: Week 3

This week we get Kaitlyn making a big move and causing Team Foute to be surprised by a backdoor eviction.  The one who helped bring it about gets HOH and it all culminates in a big argument about how many left handed people there are in the world.  All this and more!

Final Reckoning: Six Feet Under

Hey, it’s the first episode of a new season! We’re excited to see old favorites and dreading meeting new idiots. As usual, we cover the challenge, the elimination, and the drama. We disagree on Cara’s promiscuity but we’re all on board for the resolution to the fight we always seem to get initially. TJ is playing this game dirty and we learn a bit more about how dirty it’s gonna get.

Evicted – Big Brother Season 20: Week 2

We’re back with a look at Week 2 in the Big Brother house.  Have any new alliances been made?  Any new Showmances happened?  Who got evicted and who is the new HoH?  Find out.  Also we play some controversial clips from the first few weeks in the BB house.
